Health & Physical Education
At Parap Primary School we provide physical activity for students from transition to year six with a program that is aligned with the Australian Curriculum and our school values. Physical education helps students increase physical activity, learn about their own health, and create a positive attitude to overall fitness. Students explore the effects physical health has on our lives while building and improving their individual motor skills and interests in a variety of sports.
Our program provides students with a range of sporting activities such as hockey, tennis, AFL, basketball, netball, cricket and many more. Our school consistently competes in local Darwin region school sports, AFLNT, soccer, basketball, and hockey competitions.
Our school provides students with the opportunity to be involved in school and community events such as our annual sports carnival and swimming carnival. Students are encouraged to be involved with outside of school sporting events and sports.
Physical education is an essential component of student growth and wellbeing and is valued highly at Parap Primary School.
