Community Partnerships

Eco-Schools Australia

Parap Primary School is a proud Eco-School, being accredited with the prestigious Green Flag award in 2020.

Parap’s Eco-Schools journey began in 2014 with a group of passionate and inspired students, teachers, parents and community members leading the way with creating environmentally sustainable products such as reusable shopping bags.  During the past eight years, the Eco Warriors at Parap Primary School have continued with their passion for sustainability and environmental conservation, expanding their projects to include Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Climate Change projects.

In 2014, 2018 and 2020, Parap Primary School was named as the Eco-Schools Clean, Green, Healthy School Award recipient for the Northern Territory. In those same years we were also accredited with the Eco-Schools Silver Medal, Bronze Medal and Green Flag certification. Our Green Flag accreditation was recertified in 2021.
